QX10 lens camera ? where Sony and iPhone 5S rumours meet?

With the expected announcement of the next iPhone coming up fast on September 1o, we?re right now in the middle of the iPhone rumour storm. One such rumour has it that a new colour will be added to the iPhone range, a gold, or champagne-coloured iPhone.

Meanwhile, with Sony set to announce a slew of new products to coincide with this week?s IFA Consumer Electronics Show in Berlin, it also has its busy round of rumours happening. One such rumour is that Sony is soon to release a range of lens cameras ? a camera within a lens ? that will magnetically clip on to a smartphone.

This rumour came via the sonyalpharumors website, a rumour it rated as ?almost certainly correct?. That same website has now published a rumour it regards as equally strong, that Sony will make a gold-and-white lens camera.

Of course there are other smartphones that would nicely match the QX10 Smart Shot in white and gold. But is this Sony seeing strong sales for its lens camera aligning with the rumoured new gold iPhone?
